تار آیا ہے اُن کا کچھ بات ہوگی
کوہِ نور سے کل ملاقات ہو گی
انتظار نے روکا ہے ورنہ ہم کہاں رُکتے
تنہائی کی بس یہی رات ہوگی
کئ صدیوں سے تجھے دیکھا نہیں ہم نے
تجھے دیکھ لیں کیا اتنی ہماری اوقات ہوگی
ہر بار تجھ کو سوچتے ہیں ہم, قسم تیری
اس جہاں میں ایسی کوئی ذات ہوگی
تحریر لکھ کے لے گئے ہو تو کیا فائدہ
ہمیں بچانے والی خود اُن کی بات ہوگی
ہم آدم سے ملے ہونگے خوف ہے تم کو
نافرمانی کی بس یہی سوگات ہوگی
لوگ پوچھ بیٹھے ہیں ہم سے تمہارا حال
دولت دے کر بھی پیچھے کوئی مات ہوگی
ؔعلم ،علم وعمل علم و فن نہیں ہے عادل
فضیلت میں بھی ایسی کوئی زکوۃ ہوگی
